I’m Coming Back!

A life update as well

Hello friends! I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’ve not been posting here for a while. That was intentional. I was trying my hand at Substack to see if I could achieve better earnings from my writing.

I failed.

I never gained any traction over there, and it seemed like people were less inclined to read my content than when I was posting it here. It killed my motivation to write, which is frustrating since I was also starting to write my first novel-lenght piece of fiction. I couldn’t even do that anymore.

I also spent some time dabbling in podcasting. Another avenue that never really took off for me. It was fun, and I think if I can regain my writing momentum I will pick that back up as well.

I changed jobs in the meantime, too. I’m still in optical, but with a different practice that is affording me a much better opportunity.

All that to say, I’m coming back to Medium!

And it feels so good!
