Book Review: Trump Antichrist

It had been a long day at work. People can be weird. Annoying. Rude. Kind. All in the same day. And once you have dealt with them for seemingly countless hours, you just need a break from the insanity.
I got home from work and checked the mailbox. Inside were the typical bills, offers for car insurance, and invites to join AARP (which I will gladly do if they would just offer me a fanny pack).
And there was a manilla envelope. The puffy kind that things like media mail are sent in. Only…this one was strange. I was not expecting anything yet, but, also, this envelope had a hand-written address label and no return address (so much for my break from insanity).
I grew up in the era of the Unibomber. So I remember being scared to open the mailbox for fear that there was a pipe bomb that would blow the whole thing up, and me with it, when I opened it. Or the anthrax scares of the early 2000’s. This unmarked manilla envelope elicited those old feelings. But it was also not missed on me that, buried in the tracking number were the digits 666 13.
So, immediately upon getting in the house, I did what any sane human would do, and I tore open the envelope to see what the mystery sender had put in the post. Imagine my shock when I saw this:
Inside the mystery mailer was a book apparently written by the devil? My shock and intrigue grew when I opened it and saw the first page.
Not only had Satan written a book about Donald Trump, but he had sent me a signed copy. So I again acted in the sanest way possible, and I sat down and read the book.
Clocking in at a brisk 109 pages, Trump Antichrist is everything you would expect the guy frozen in the center of Dante’s hell to write. He begins by making it clear that, as a liar, he is going to tell us the truth this time. He follows these opening remarks by talking about himself and then moves into a discussion of the Antichrist in more broad terms, followed by a brief overview of Nietzsche, where he lays out three major characteristics of the Antichrist. According to the devil, the Antichrist is powerful, dominant, and a cynic.
He then tells us that Donald Trump just might be that guy. He calls him to the stand and gives us a brief biography of Mr. Trump.
Then, once establishing that Trump’s life and actions align with some of these key characteristics, Satan brings out more evidence to prove his point. Conspiracy theories, COVID-19, election integrity, and even American Christianity are called forward to support the claim that Trump is the Antichrist.
I do not want to give too much away, but I think more people should read this book (you can buy it on Amazon for a mere $6.66). Whether you are a Trump supporter or not, and whether you are a Christian or otherwise, what HaSatan does here is give us an exercise in what certain strains of Evangelical Christianity do to prove their perspective on end-times theology. It is a fascinating read.
Engaging, funny, offensive, and thought-provoking, Trump Antichrist is one little book that you should devote a few moments of your life to.
